The Conditions For Success

While infrared scans can be a time and money saving tool for many industries, they must be preformed by someone with the proper training and under the correct circumstances. Listed to the right are the ideal conditions for acquiring the most accurate data.

  • Sunny day with clear night or minimal cloud cover

  • No precipitation in the 24 hours prior to inspection

  • Wind speed less than 15 mph during time of survey

  • Survey conducted any time from 1 hour past sunset to sunrise

  • Ballasted roofs require a greater temperature difference from inside to outside but can still be surveyed
